Curt Stephenson Remembers Bo, Funds Scholarship
(Oct. 20, 2008)
Shortly after Bo's passing I decided to write a book about my experiences with him and the UofM football program. That book is now finished and will be published and available this November. It is the story of a young boy's dream and Coach Schembechler's influence to cause the dream to become reality. The best part is that all the proceeds from the book go back to the Athletic Department for a scholarship for future walk ons.
The vitals on the book are as follows:
Title: Those Who Stay

ISBN # 9781438900308 hard cover - $24.95

An M Man Needs Your Help
Former Michigan linebacker Chris Graham tragically lost his sister, Jacqueline Love, in a house fire recently -- a portable kerosene heater was the cause of the accident. Jacqueline, a single mom, leaves behind her 10-year old daughter, Jada Love. The child escaped the fire with minor injuries, but lost all of her belongings. The family is now struggling through this terrible loss. Perhaps you can help with financial support or clothing and toy gifts.
If you are so inclined, donations can be made to:

Bo's Book Now Available
Dear Michigan Football Men,
As you probably know by now, the man who coached many of you - and was undoubtedly friends to all the rest -- Bo Schembechler, wrote a book with me that just came out this fall. Titled Bo's Lasting Lessons: The Legendary Coach Teaches the Timeless Fundamentals of Leadership , Bo describes what it takes to be a leader, from how to pick your first job to when to step down, and how to do it right. You will probably nod and smile at many of his lessons and stories, and, I've heard, learn a few things about your old coach's methods. If I did my job right, you will also feel like you're sitting in his office once again.
It has received very good reviews from the sports and business press, including The Sporting News to Tom Peters to Newsweek's “ Enterprise ” section. But, of course, the most important reviews come from you guys.
I hope you get a chance to pick up a copy.
GO BLUE!
